STAMPlorations October New Release!

It's Day 5 of the October New Release Hop over at STAMPlorations!  Now it's time for the Inspiration girls to show you the projects we made using the new sets!  But first look at these sets!

Super fun aren't they?!  I just love them. Check out what I made....

(Using Becca's Funny Kinda Love Set)

For this first card, I took the hearts and stamped them along one side of my card base. I coloured in one of the large hearts with my Spectrum Noir markers. Then I stamped the sentiment. The sentiments in this set are hilarious!  I love them.

(Using Shery's Faith Expressions set)

For this card, I stamped the framed flowers and then masked them off. Using the Circular 2 stencil, I sponged on white ink, fading it out.  I removed the mask and then coloured in the flowers with my Prismacolor pencil crayons.  I stamped the sentiment in black.

(Using Deepti's Power of Words set)

I stamped the moon and stars sentiment and embossed it in white. Then I painstakingly cut out tiny masks for the moon and stars. (Yep. I'm nuts. 😜). Then, I sponged Memento Nautical Blue, and Picked Raspberry, Broken China and Seedless Preserves Distress inks.  I splattered some water droplets and then splattered some white acrylic paint over top.  I removed the tiny masks and coloured in the moon and stars with my Spectrum Noir markers.

(Using Shirley's Faerie Door set)

I stamped the fairy and then masked her off so I could stamp her wings.  I stamped the tiny flower severval times.  I coloured everything in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment.  Such a cute set, isn't it?

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and I've managed to inspire you.  Leave comments on the DT blogs and the main blog and you have a chance to win a prize!  You should definitely check out the main blog for all the details on prizes and such.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #102

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and you know what that means?  Yep!  Another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  No Christmas card to share this week. I know!  Shocking! 😀  Anyway, here's my card....

I stamped my dragonflies (Winged Things set) in black then coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used a technique referred to as pointillism.  You fill in an area with dots of colour.  Love how this looks.  I stamped my sentiment (Buttercups and Butterflies set) in black and added a narrow strip of silver glitter tape to one edge.  I love these sketchy dragonflies. They are so fun!

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Inkspirational Challenge - Black + One Other Colour

Oh, it is going to be a rainy weekend here!  Boo!  ðŸŒ‚ It has been a rather rainy Fall so far.  I know it is important but it makes it hard to do stuff outside, like stack our firewood on the porch.  Oh well, it will get done.  :-)

So, it is time for another challenge over at Inkspirational!  We have got a fun color challenge for you this time.  Black + One other color.  (You can use white too if you want.)

I decided to use a stamp set that I have neglected for a while.  Check it out....

First thing I did was do a watercolor ombre wash on watercolor paper using Seedless Preserves Distress ink.  I really love this vibrant purple.  Once my panel was dry splattered some water on it for some water spots.  Then, I stamped my neglected coneflowers and grass (SU!) in black Versafine ink.  I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black as well.  Lastly, I attached my panel to a black card base exposing a narrow strip down one side.

So, I hope you'll come on over to the main blog and join in on the fun!  You'll see some outstanding projects by the rest of the DT too.  ðŸ˜€

Have an awesome weekend and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #101

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's time for another inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  Today I've got something a little different for you.  Amazingly enough, it's not a card. It is Christmas themed though,  I had an idea to try something and so I did.  Take a look....

I had this glass ornament that I'd been meaning to glass etch something on but I decided to experiment with stamping and alcohol inks.  So I took my poinsettia stamp (Holiday Sketches: Christmas Flower set) and using black StazOn ink stamped onto the glass. Because StazOn is a solvent ink it won't rub off.  Then using my Spectrum Noir markers I coloured in my poinsettia from the opposite side.  The reason I did this is the alcohol ink can affect the solvent ink.  Once the alcohol ink is dry it won't rub off.  I added a ribbon and my ornament was done!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little deviation from card making. Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's projects too. Some awesome stuff to see!

Have a lovely day and thanks for visiting!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #100

Hey everyone!  I hope all my Canadian followers had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  Ours was quiet but good.  Yummy turkey dinner.  Only marred by the fact that I got a bad head cold.  Hoping I feel better tomorrow.  :-)

We've got a new inspiration post over at STAMPlorations today.  Lots of great projects to share.  Plus, it's our 100th Inspiration post so we've got a special prize drawing.  More details at the end of this post.  Anyway, here's my card today....

I took the floral stamp (Bloom Happy set) and stamped it four times in the following Memento ink colours: Bamboo Leaves, Teal Zeal, Dandelion and SU! ink, Rich Razzleberry.  I had to measure and lightly mark where to stamp these and do it by eye as I don't have any fancy tool to help in that regard.  I think it worked out rather well.  I die cut my sentiment (Celebrate Word Die) and glued it to my card.

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.

Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you all have a fabulous day!

100th post Special Drawing
Just for this post only: we'll draw one winner from all comments left on the STAMPlorations  inspiration 100th post and the designer blogs to receive your choice of 4x6 stamp set featured in today's projects.

Inkspirational Designer Challenge - Nonni's Choice

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my Canadian friends!  It's time for turkey and pie and family time!  We are having our turkey dinner on Sunday.  Yum!  Can't wait.

Anyway, it's time for another challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time our lovely teammate, Nonni, had the honor of picking what the challenge would be.  She chose "Use 5 Stamps (or more)".

Well, I had a fun time figuring out what stamps to use for my card.  I decided to do a Halloween theme since that fun holiday is coming up.  Here's my card....

I masked of my area and sponged on black ink along the bottom. I stamped my haunted house (Michaels: Craft Smart) in black and then created a mask for it and covered it up. Next, I sponged some orange from the top down and went over lightly the black again. I stamped my branches (Inkadinkado) next then my fox (Fiskars).  I removed all the masks and then stamped the sentiment (Michaels: Craft Smart).  I stamped the spider (Inkadinkado) and made it look like it was hanging by a web thread with a black marker.  I added a bit of yellow to my house windows with a marker as well.  I quite like how this card turned out.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Please, make sure to go and check out what the rest of the team made as well as our wonderful Guest Designer.  There are some wonderful cards to look at!

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations CUTplorations Challenge

Hey everyone!  There's been a bit of a change over at STAMPlorations.  We say goodbye to the CASEploration challenge and say hello to a new one.  Today we start the CUTplorations Challenge!  So, break out your dies and start creating!  Every month we'll have an inspiration photo to inspire you and all you have to do is make something using a die cut and link up.  It's not necessary to use STAMPlorations dies but we love it when you do!  Check out this months inspiration photo....

Isn't it great?!  This is what I came up with....

I stamped and embossed in white my snowflakes (Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic, Framed Christmas: Peace Love Joy, Vignette: Christmas Block) on watercolour paper.  Then using the Distress inks, Abandoned Coral, Broken China, and Mustard Seed, I watercoloured over top.  Then using the same snowflake stamps and ink colours I randomly stamped.  I cut my panel so it would be on an angle on my dark grey card base and attached it.  I die cut my sentiment (Season's Greetings Phrase Die) out of black cardstock and attached to my card.

I hope you'll all join us for this fun new challenge.  As always there is a prize to be won if you link up!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #99

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's a lovely Fall day here in Jemseg. The sun is shining, the leaves are starting to turn such gorgeous colours and there is a crisp coolness in the air.  It's a perfect time of year, I think.  ðŸ˜€  I was out and about our property yesterday and took some pictures of the brightly coloured leaves.  Take a look....

Anyway, it's time for another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  We've got a lovely bunch of projects to share with you today.  And, yes, I've got another Christmas card to show you.  Check it out....

I've seen a few cards on Pinterest that used this technique and thought I'd give it a try. I stamped and heat embossed in white my pine bough (Christmas Bell Medley set) and then stamped it in white pigment ink on my black card base.  I stamped and heat embossed in white my sentiment (Holiday Sketches: Christmas Flower set).  Lastly, I added some red pearls.  I really love the look of this card.

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!
